What Are Cannabis Derived Terpenes?

Cannabis Derived Terpenes, or CDT's, are the taste and smell that has been extracted from the Cannabis Flower. CDT's are better than other forms of Terpenes because they result in smoother and more flavorful hits. The best Delta 8 cartridges contain CDT because they properly represent the taste and smell of the flower strain they were extracted from. 

What Are Botanical Terpenes? (BDTs)

Botanical Derived Terpenes are terpenes extracted from miscellaneous fruits, plants and vegetables. THCXtract does not use BDT's because they are typically lower quality and cause a stronger throat hit. BDT are used in many cheap commercial vape products that you can find at your local smoke shop or gas station because they are cheaper to produce.

Why is Delta 8 THC harsh?

Delta 8 is NOT supposed to be harsh. There are 2 reasons why Delta 8 THC Vapes or Dabs will be harsh. The most common reason is that the Vape Carts contain BDT, which are lower quality and harsher on the throat than CDT. Another less common reason why Delta 8 THC is harsh is because the Distillate wasn't properly purged of solvents and may be contaminated. Any vendor who claims delta 8 THC is a harsh product may be selling a low quality product. 

Are Delta 8 Carts Safe?

It depends on the vendor the Delta 8 comes from. According to the FDA, "Delta-8 THC products have not been evaluated or approved by the FDA for safe use and may be marketed in ways that put the public health at risk." Because the hemp market is unregulated, it is up to the ethics of small business owners on whether or not they sell Delta 8 THC products that have been lab tested.
